Karaoke Contest Information

The Barry County Expo Center will be show casing the 17th Annual Karaoke Contest at the 158 th Barry County Fair. 40 plus performers will be competing at the fair for cash and prizes awarded for “Best Vocalists” and special recognition for “Best of Show”. The top 10 finalists will each receive studio time.

Entry and Qualifying

Various Entertainment has coordinated 5 different qualifying locations where performers can compete for entry into the finals, at the Barry County Fair. Enter at a qualifying location, then participate in the in-house competition. The top performers from each location move onto the finals at the Barry County Fair.

Participating Location

Daisy Mae’s Sports Bar & Grill – Wayland – Thursdays
Swamp Fox – Middleville – Wednesdays
Uccellos – Wayland – Thursdays
Family Tavern – Caledonia - Saturdays
The Shamrock – Freeport – Saturdays

Qualify

Qualification Dates - June 1st to July 3rd
Register at a qualifying location
Perform a contest song
Compete in an in-house contest (between 30-40 contestants at each location)
In-house winners will advance to the finals at the Barry County Fair

At the Fair

Various Entertainment will host the finals at the Barry County Fair. The top performers from each location will perform at the semi-finals on July 23, 2010 under the big tent on the fairground. The main stage area will be outfitted with a camera system and big screen TVs, for greater audience viewing and appreciation.

Semi Finals: Thursday, July 23rd

Starts at 6:00 pm
Contestants: Receive a certificate
Contestants: perform a contest song before a panel of judges
Top 20: advance to Master Finals

Master Finals: Friday, July 24th

Starts at 6:00 pm
Top 20: perform contest song before a panel of judges
Top 10: will perform an additional song
Top 10: awarded Studio Time – Sponsored by Slimbuddha Record

Prizes and Awards

Best of Show: Receive a certificate

Best Vocalists: Awarded cash prizes

1st Place - $500
2nd Place - $300
3rd Place - $200
